We provide enterprises with a Software Platform that allows them to create Interactive Guides or Flows that sit as an overlay inside any web application. Flows are Contextual - appear based on where you are in the application (location) and who you are (role). Optimal performance and adoption of any web application is attained when there is easy access to Contextual Information inside the application at the time a task is being performed.

Our Product Marketing team is looking for an exceptional individual to lead our analyst and strategic influencer relations program. Reporting to the Vice President of Product Marketing, this director level position will play a key role in managing and growing relationships within the industry analyst community on behalf of Whatfix.

The Director of Analyst & Strategic Influencer Relations is a central role to positioning Whatfix with industry analysts and strategic influencers and a critical role for our field organization.

This role requires amazing collaborative and cross-organizational relationship skills, knowing how to quickly impact the business and deliver quality information and results that helps the business while balancing multiple priorities. The ideal candidate knows how to build trust and partnership with external analysts, influencers/ editors/ researchers as well as colleagues in product marketing, product management, executives, and worldwide sales.

The ideal candidate brings a unique combination of analyst relations experience as well as Enterprise Software domain experience, technical acumen, and with the ability to translate what is happening in the market or customer base to the analysts and the Whatfix field organization.

• Owning and leading Analyst Relations across multiple domains

• Managing contracts and set up of briefings, inquiries and assessments with 

  • Key analysts (Gartner, Forrester Research, IDC, Constellation Research, Ovum, Aragon Research, others)
  • Key Influencers (Sales Enablement Society, Sales Management Association, CLO magazine, CSO Insights, Corporate Productivity Institute etc.)

• Working closely with Product Marketing, Solutions/Domain leads on priorities and goals

• Developing & managing an AR & SI strategy and a cadence of engagement with key analyst influencers to advance an organization's market position

• Ensuring timely and quality response to analyst research

• Frequent and proactive updates to Whatfix leaders, sales organization, product management /product marketing on analyst’s reports, notes, positions, feedback, “care-abouts”, meeting take-aways and guidance addressing these, in an effort to both inform Anaplan strategy and drive more fruitful engagements with analysts

• Execution of successful analyst track during annual user conference

• Set up, attend, record outcomes and manage follow-up on Analyst engagements, inquiries and briefings.

• Working with analysts to understand their research agendas to ensure appropriate positioning of company in resulting reports, publications, discussions, magic quadrants, etc.

• Initiate and manage analyst engagement at events, such as Analyst days and/or Analyst engagements at company events

• Creating easy to understand content for the field around positioning with analysts

• Your experience in software analyst relations, product marketing, competitive intelligence, or public relations experience with a major enterprise CRM, HCM, ERP, software vendor

• Previous relationships with key industry analysts (Gartner, Forrester Research, IDC, Constellation Research, Ovum, etc.)

• Examples of being a self-starter who will take initiative to identify, prioritize, and complete key deliverables

• Examples of communication skills: written, interpersonal, and presentation

• Demonstrated project / program management and general management skills

• Ability to think analytically and strategically

• Being a team player with integrity, energy, intelligence, and judgment

• Ability to travel 10-20%

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree

• Experience in communications and analyst relations programs

• 10+ years of analyst relations management or other relevant experience

• Experience working directly with executives, product management and product marketing functions

• Knowledge of trends in communications and analyst relations

• Ability to be creative, strategic, analytical, and think outside the box to solve problems

• Strong project management and time management skills

• Interpersonal skills with keen ability to explain complex concepts across the organization and to large audiences

• Combination of agency, consulting and in-house experience strongly preferred.
