About the Role 

Whatfix is looking for a web conversion analysis and optimization expert to launch, implement and lead an experimentation and personalization program across Whatfix’s external-facing web properties. As an optimization and analytics expert, your focus is on customer experience, journey mapping, web data analysis, multi-variate testing, personalization experiments, and CRO. You’ll develop new data-driven ideas for improvement, create testing strategies and hypothesis-driven roadmap, working closely with design, content, and brand. 

You should have a strong understanding and hands-on experience with experimentation (A/B/n testing), personalization, website analytics and the tactics needed to improve user experience and drive increased performance. The role will report to the Head of Marketing.



  • Develop, manage and deliver a testing strategy and optimization roadmap which guides the experimentation and personalization program by scoring, prioritizing and logging of future test ideas and past test results.
  • Implement all facets of the roadmap, including CRO planning, idea management, testing, optimization, reporting, and forecasting; this includes: setting up and utilizing A/B tests, using web testing tools, and optimizing funnels across multiple devices and funnel entry points.
  • Working on a mobile journey for visitors and improvising the same. This will include building hypothesis, set up experiments and scale winner test across

  • Review existing web content like landing pages, blogs, product pages and optimize them from the stand-point of enhancing copy, design, CTAs and user experience.

  • Guide and work closely with the web analytics team to identify areas of improvement, analyze website behavior, performance metrics, qualitative and quantitative customer data. Analyze evaluate and refine website segments to find areas of opportunity.
  • Work with leadership to align business goals to visitor needs, assess and improve various aspects of the website including the information architecture, user-task flows, and user experience. Set and periodically review website optimization program goals.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the design of experiments including test structure, sequencing, the definition of primary and secondary success metrics, and experiment duration calculations.
  • Collaborate with front end developers, digital designers, user experience professionals, testing and creative team to develop test creative and design comps, with the help of mock-ups, copy and wireframes.
  • Partner closely with the Marketing Team (Demand Gen team), Product and Content Marketing and other stakeholders on web initiatives. Consult with strategy and product on new product positioning and pre-launch testing.
  • Project manage multiple and concurrent projects, day-to-day activities to ensure on-schedule completion within scope, with proper reporting.
  • Configure and use website analytics and testing platforms to measure the performance of experiments.
  • Monitor performance KPIs for changes in trends, share insights and make recommendations to the marketing team. Continually evaluate and improve upon on the effectiveness of A/B tests through a data-driven approach and KPI-driven analysis.
  • Document and communicate results and recommendations of all initiatives and A/B tests to stakeholders and senior leaders regularly.
  • Manage the relationship with third-party vendors including A/B testing software providers and other optimization vendors. 


  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in statistics, finance, mathematics, Digital/Marketing Analytics, or in a quantitative discipline. Certifications are a plus.
  • 4 to 10 years of experience running web projects focused on driving engagement and conversion rate optimization.
  • Excellent analytical skills - ability to understand and interpret data within the context of the AB / Multivariate testing.
  • Deep experience of web analytics, including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Webmaster Tools
  • Experience with web CMS systems, behavioral analytics and website targeting, (e.g. such as Adobe AEM, Adobe Target, Optimizely, Google Optimize, etc.).
  • Experience project managing digital marketing and technology projects.
  • Excellent communication skills – ability to communicate complex test results findings and recommendations persuasively, in a compelling and easy to understand manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to work extremely well with cross-functional teams; independently and proactively (design, marketing, support, development, product).
  • Must be results-oriented and able to prioritize multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment and can execute plans and initiatives with a sense of urgency.

  • Ability to plan a CRO travel calendar and work under pressure to meet deadlines
